SS2502 is a 30.25-inch Caloritech stainless-steel strip heater rated at 240V and 1000W. It shares the listed voltage and wattage of SS2412 but has a longer physical format. That distinction matters when replacing an element on a designed contact surface: equal power does not mean equal fit or the same heating distribution in the assembly.

Not on power alone. SS2502 is 30.25 inches long and SS2412 is 23.5 inches. Confirm the mounting geometry and heating-assembly requirements as well as the 240V rating.
Is 1200°F the temperature the heated surface will reach?
No. It is the maximum listed sheath-temperature limit. Surface temperature depends on contact, losses and controls; it is not guaranteed by the rating.
Does the strip's narrow width mean it will fit my existing mounting?
