Check the working area and the rated limits together

Capacity is only one part of equipment selection. Verify the manufacturer's intended application, required support surface, access around the work and permitted lifting or support points. Compare the physical dimensions with your workspace.

A jack lifts; appropriate rated supports hold a raised vehicle. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Consult the vehicle service information and the equipment instructions before lifting, positioning or operating heavy equipment.

Is a jack also a support stand?

Do not treat a lifting jack as the sole support for work beneath a vehicle. Use supports approved for the intended task.

Which height matters for a low vehicle?

Both the minimum entry height and the lifting range matter. Check clearance at the specified lifting point.

Will the equipment fit my shop?

Compare its footprint and operating clearances, including room for handles, approach and safe movement around it.
