Match the complete air supply to the tool

Tank volume, horsepower and maximum pressure do not by themselves establish whether a compressor can support a tool continuously. Compare delivered air flow at the stated pressure with the tool's requirement and its intended duty cycle.

Hose size, length, couplers and regulators affect the air reaching the tool. Check connection thread type and permitted working pressure for each component. Follow the manufacturer instructions for lubrication, moisture control and maintenance.

Can I choose by compressor tank size alone?

No. Delivered flow at the required working pressure and the duty cycle are also essential.

Are all air fittings interchangeable?

Verify thread sizes and coupling profiles. Similar-looking parts may not form a compatible sealed connection.

Does an air impact wrench need impact sockets?

Use sockets rated for impact use and the correct drive size, following the tool and socket instructions.
