Prepare the System: Ensure the A/C system is at an appropriate pressure for dye injection. If using with a vacuum, ensure the system is properly evacuated.
Load the Cartridge: Insert one Tracerline TP9825-P3 cartridge into the Tracerline EZ-Ject™ dye injector (injector sold separately).
Connect to A/C System: Connect the EZ-Ject™ injector to the low-side service port of the vehicle's R-1234yf A/C system.
Inject the Dye: Follow the instructions for your specific EZ-Ject™ injector to push the appropriate amount of dye into the A/C system. Typically, a single full depression of the injector plunger is sufficient for one vehicle.
Run the A/C System: Start the vehicle and run the A/C system on its coldest setting for at least 10–15 minutes to allow the dye to circulate throughout the system.
Inspect for Leaks: Using a UV (ultraviolet) or UV/blue light and yellow-tinted glasses, scan all A/C components, hoses, fittings, and connections. Any leaks will appear as a bright green glow.
Clean Up: After use, disconnect the injector and clean any residual dye from the service port.
