Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2.05 inch (52mm) diameter hole in your dashboard and securely mount the Speedhut fuel level gauge using the provided spin-lock ring (if applicable).
Connect the Wiring:
– Connect the power and lighting harness to a suitable power source and ground in your vehicle's electrical system.
– Connect the 2-wire cable harness to the output terminal of your fuel level sending unit in the fuel tank and to the corresponding terminals on the back of the gauge.
Program the Gauge:
– Ensure your fuel tank is completely empty.
– Press and hold the provided programming button while turning on the vehicle's ignition.
– Release the button when the gauge pointer moves to the "Empty" position. This sets the empty point.
– Fill your fuel tank completely full.
– Press and hold the programming button again until the gauge pointer moves to the "Full" position. Release the button. This sets the full point.
– Turn off the ignition and then turn it back on to verify the calibration. The gauge should now accurately reflect the fuel level in your tank.
