Polyvance Polyethylene Rod (Ldpe), 3/16" Diameter, 1 Lb., Black (R04-02-04-BK)
Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is used in some underhood areas such as windshield washer bottles and radiator overflow tanks. In non-automotive applications, it is used on ATV fenders, kayaks, canoes, dirt bike fenders and gas tanks, motor home water tanks, and agricultural water/fertilizer tanks. Because Polyethylene is very waxy, it is almost impossible to get quality repairs using adhesives. Welding is the best repair method for polyethylene. Polyethylene is naturally a translucent white color. Black pigment has been added to make less visible repairs when welding black polyethylene parts. This package contains 1 lb. (0.45 kg) of black welding rod. Each rod is 12 inches (30 cm) long and is 3/16th inch (4.7 mm) diameter. There are approximately 100 rods in one pound (0.45 kg).
Works with airless, hot-air, and nitrogen plastic welders.
Rod diameter fits perfectly into the 3/16 speed welding tip for Polyvance's Mini-Weld Airless Plastic Welder.
