Polyvance High Density Polyethylene (Hdpe), 3/8" X 1/16", 1 Lb., Natural (R12-04-04-NT)
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is used in many different applications in both automotive and non-automotive pieces. It has a waxy feel, like low density polyethylene, but is stiffer and less flexible. You can find HDPE in fender liners, windshield washer bottles, and overflow tanks in automotive applications. In non-automotive applications, HDPE is used for ATV fenders, gas tanks, kayaks, canoes, playground equipment, and more. HDPE is naturally a translucent white color. No pigment has been added to this welding rod to get a better match when welding natural HDPE pieces. Each rod is 12 inches (30 cm) long and 3/8th inch (9.5 mm) wide by 1/16th inch (1.6 mm) thick. There are approximately 107 rods in a pound (0.45 kg).
Works with airless, hot-air, and nitrogen plastic welders.
Square edge profile resists curling during repair process.
No pigment or dyes added. This is the natural color of polyethylene.
