Prepare Surface: Ensure the surface you plan to bond or repair is completely clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, or debris. For the best possible adhesion, lightly roughen the surface before applying the glue.
Open Tube: Puncture the seal in the neck of the tube using the pointed cap. Ensure the ambient temperature is between 50 and 90 °F (10 and 32 °C) for optimal product performance.
Apply Adhesive: Apply the adhesive directly to each surface that you intend to bond or repair.
Partially Cure and Mate: Allow the adhesive to partially cure for approximately 2 minutes before bringing the two surfaces together. The adhesive hardens by solvent evaporation and forms an immediate bond upon contact and sufficient pressure, making repositioning difficult.
Full Cure: Allow the repair to cure for a full 24 hours. Depending on the specific materials and surrounding temperature, the adhesive may take 48 to 72 hours to reach its maximum strength.
Cap Maintenance: For easier cap removal in the future, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to the threads of the tube before replacing the cap after use.
Clean Up (Uncured): If you need to clean up uncured adhesive, use acetone or citrus-based solvents.
Clean Up (Cured): Once the material has fully cured, it can only be removed by cutting or scraping.
