Assess the Situation: Check if the person is responsive and breathing. Call for emergency medical services (e.g., your local emergency number) immediately.
Administer Naloxone: If naloxone is available, open the package. For the nasal spray included in this kit:
Peel back the package to remove the device.
Hold the device with your thumb on the bottom of the plunger and your first and middle fingers on either side of the nozzle.
Tilt the person's head back and insert the tip of the nozzle into one nostril until your fingers touch the bottom of their nose.
Press the plunger firmly to release the naloxone.
Remove the device from the nostril.
If there is no response after 2-3 minutes and another dose is available (as this kit contains a 2-pack), administer the second dose in the other nostril.
