American Forge & Foundry 10-Ton Long-Chassis Hydraulic Jack (3130)
The American Forge & Foundry 10-Ton Long-Chassis Hydraulic Jack (3130) is a professional-grade lifting solution built for the most demanding applications. Designed with a substantial 61-inch long chassis, this hydraulic jack provides essential reach for accessing difficult-to-reach load points on vehicles with long overhangs, such as bus and truck fleets, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy construction vehicles. Its robust construction, featuring heavy-gauge steel and strong welds, ensures maximum strength and reliability in challenging workshop environments.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
Extended Reach (61-inch Chassis): Allows access to difficult-to-reach load points and under-vehicles with long overhangs, making it ideal for large trucks and buses.
10-Ton Lifting Capacity: Provides the power to lift substantial weight, suitable for heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment.
Foot-Operated Pump: Enables quick, efficient, and hands-free lifting, improving operational speed and convenience.
Robust Steel Construction: Built with heavy-gauge steel and strong welds for maximum strength, durability, and a long service life in demanding environments.
Precision Hydraulics: Pumps, rams, and cylinders are precision machined and inspected, ensuring superior performance and reliability with minimized risk of leaks.
Automatic Overload Safety Valves: Enhance safety by preventing the jack from being used beyond its rated capacity, protecting both the equipment and the operator.
Maneuverability and Stability: Full rotating swivel casters provide easy movement in tight spaces, while an extra-wide stance ensures maximum stability during lifting operations.
Versatile Handle Control: A handle-mounted locking control lever offers three positions for adaptable under-car positioning and precise release control.
Capacity: 10 Tons (20,000 lbs)
Low Height: 6.7 inches
High Height: 22.4 inches
Chassis Length: 60.6 inches
Chassis Width – Front: 13.2 inches
Chassis Width – Rear: 18.2 inches
Handle Length: 40 inches
Saddle Diameter: 6.2 inches
Operation: Hydraulic
Type: Long Chassis Jack
Weight: 323 lbs (Net Weight) / 366 lbs (Ship Weight)
Standards: ASME PALD 2003 (or 2014 ASME/PASE Safety Standards)
Prepare the Vehicle/Equipment: Ensure the vehicle or equipment is on a firm, level surface. Engage the parking brake and block the wheels that will remain on the ground to prevent accidental movement.
Position the Jack: Roll the AFF 3130 jack under the vehicle, aligning the saddle directly beneath a suitable lifting point as specified by the vehicle manufacturer's manual (e.g., frame rail, axle). Utilize the swivel casters and the 3-position handle lever to maneuver the long chassis into the correct position.
Lift the Load: Use the foot-operated pump to slowly raise the jack's saddle until it makes firm contact with the lifting point. Continue pumping the foot pedal to lift the vehicle to the desired height.
Secure the Load: Once the vehicle is at the desired height, always place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a hydraulic jack.
Lower the Load (Carefully): With the jack stands in place, slowly rotate the handle-mounted control lever to release the hydraulic pressure, allowing the jack to gently lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.
Remove the Jack: Once the vehicle is resting securely on the jack stands, fully lower the jack and roll it out from under the vehicle. Store the jack in a safe, dry place.
